Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Though I think the sauce really carries the entire dish, Rooster & Rice has a truly delicious Thai chicken rice. The poached chicken is well cooked with a decent texture as well; having a bite of the soft chicken, delectable and savory sauce, and crispy veggies in one spoonful is an addicting experience. It's also nice that extra cucumbers and cilantro are available as free options. 5.4/10. Note that the location is primarily geared for takeout, though some seating is available outdoors.

I would give this place a 3.5 star. The popcorn chicken was good. It’s good flavor and crispness. I liked the lemongrass flavor. I also ordered Hat Yat chicken. The skin was good and flavorful. However i was disappointed with rice. It was undercooked, too chewy/hard for my taste. Please note this is not a dine in restaurant. I have no issue finding parking on a Saturday.

Workers here are super friendly! Unusually friendly. Cool to see that. The food was also amazing. Definitely recommend the cutler. They only have outdoor seating, so be prepared for that. The Hat Yai chicken was also good. The people working there said the original, the hat yai, and the cutlet were popular.

The food is so fresh and clean tasting here. I liked it a lot. I'm the chicken was moist, the rice was insanely flavorful, and i loved the broth that came with it. I also ordered the fried chicken skin and WOW! It was so good. The popcorn chicken was so good and the chicken cutlet was great too. Definitely give this place a try if you are in thr area.

This restaurant is a staple in the Bay Area and I am so excited they have come to So Cal! This is primarily a take out place but there are a few seats outside if you are not taking your meal to go. The restaurant is clean as are the tables outside. The decor is fun and inviting! The staff is super friendly and greets you as you walk through the door. They know their menu and are happy to help you order should you need suggestions. The food is soooo fresh and delicious. The cutlet and popcorn chicken are perfectly coated and crispy! Not dry at all!!! The original is also super tender! The side sauces make the dish extra yummy but totally not necessary as the meat has good flavor on its own. The rice…. Yes the rice… I can eat a whole bowl of that yummy rice! All in all a hit and I will be back!
